A member of my family, Anna Murphy Avery, married a Tim Callahan in Montello in 1895. Her first husband, Edward T. Avery, had died in 1888 in Montello. Anna was a daughter of John C. Murphy and Margaret Gorey of Montello. At the time of her marriage to Tim Callahan, Anna had a daughter named Edna Avery, from her first marriage. I also know that there was at least one Callahan who was an attorney in Montello during the 20th century.
