Hospital in Madison after a long illness. (July 18,1964) Mr. York was a retired farmer, and a veteran of World War I. Friends may call at the Port funeral home after 6 p.m. on Friday and at the church from noon until the funeral hour on Saturday. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Congregational Church at Endeavor. The Rev. C. Phillip Burt will officiate, and burial will be made in the Dekorra Cemetery, in the township of Dekorra. Survivors are his wife, Clara (Leek); one son Douglas, Westfield; one daughter, Marjorie, Mrs. James Quinn, Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Rose, Pittsburg,Pa., Mrs. Eddy Thompson, Poynette; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
