    1. Pehlke / help finding asylum
    2. My great-grandfather, Henry Pehlke, born Sept. 1858 had an older sister named Augusta Pehlke. Augusta was born in 1856. According to the 1870 census, the family was living in Shields Twp. in Marquette Co. (Augusta was 14 years old at that time.) Family tales have it that Augusta died in an asylum, but no one knows what year. The family is still residing in Shields Twp. according to the 1880 census, minus Augusta. So, somewhere between 1870 & 1880, she was supposedly admitted to the asylum, and very well could have died within any of those years. How do I go about finding out what asylums were in existence at the time? How do I find out when she was admitted? She's not buried with the rest of the family in Eau Claire Co., so I would also like to find out where she could possibly be buried. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Angela
