It was held at Auroraville Jan 27., 1874. p. 330 Company A, 16th Wisconsin Infantry ... was mustered in the fall of 1861. George A. Spurr enlisted Aug. 29, 1861; became Second Lieutenant Nov. 8, 1861, and was promoted to Captain April 7, 1862. He resigned July 5, 1862. That is all I see in the book. Best of luck.
