He was born May 19, 1933, in Packwaukee, WI, the son of Herbert Herman and Margaret Dorothy (BARRON) KLAWITTER. On December 6, 1952 he was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" KOCH in Oshkosh, WI. They lived in Montello for 23 years, moving to Cambria in 1981. He worked for General Telephone Co. for 20 years, and at the time of his death he was an independent telephone contracting engineer for AT&T. He was a past member of the Montello Chamber of Commerce and the Packwaukee Lions Club. Survivors include his wife Judy, of Cambria; five children, Deborah (Larry) Slager of Polo, IL, Terrie (Richard) Audiss of Endeavor; Michael (Kathy) Klawitter of Oxford, Jeffrey (Lori) Klawitter of Portage, and Julie Klawitter of Madison; his parents, Herbert H. and Margaret Klawitter of Montello; three brothers, Henry (Dorothy) of Klawitter, Montello, Ronald (June) Klawitter of Kingston, and Dennis (Bonnie) Klawitter, Pardeeville; one sister, Carolyn (Wayne) Lammert, Germantown; eight grandchildren, Jason and Michael Audiss, Cortney, Travis and Alicia Klawitter, Tony, Matthew and Levi Slager. [omitted was Deanna Klawitter]. He was preceded by two sons, Rodney and Scott, in infancy. Funeral services were held on April 25 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Cambria, with Rev. Michael Maddick officiating. Burial was in the Cambria Cemetery.
