Ray Barron, age 80, died Sunday evening, April 20 [*note- should read June 20], at his home. He had been a farmer in the Packwaukee area for many years. Services were held at 2 p.m. at the Packwaukee Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ward Patton officiating. Burial was in the Montello City Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Emma [*Leonard], five sons, William of Montello, Raymond and John of Rockford, [IL], Gordon of Lake Wales, FL, and Harvery of Phoenix, [AZ], six daughters, Margaret Klawitter, Flora Krueger, Anna Priske, and Jo Ann Hamilton, all of Montello, Josephine Kallenbach of Westfield, and Joyce Kallenbach of Oxford; one sister Flora Paterson of Broadhead, [WI], 50 grandchilkdren and 65 great-grandchildren. **Note - Ray Barron was born Raymond Byron Baker, son of Franklin B. Baker and Susan Elizabeth M. Allen in Delavan, Walworth County, WI. He was adopted by William and Anna Barron of Packwaukee, WI. William and Anna had no other children. He lived all his life on William and Anna's farm at Packwaukee. *Emma Jane Leonard was his second wife and birth mother to Jo Ann Barron Hamilton. Raymond's first wife was Cora Anne Leonard, sister to Emma Jane Leonard His full brothers and sisters [children of Franklin & Susan Elizabeth (Allen) Baker] were Lewis (Louis) F. Baker, James William Baker, Maud May Baker, Winford Baker, Eleanora Baker, Flora Baker. Eleanora "Ora" and twin sister Flora were also adopted by other families.
