    1. LEONARD Family settled in Indian Lands/LEONARD Cemetery
    2. Slager Family
    3. The LEONARD Family Cemetery is located near the Indian Echoes Campground where you purchased your cabin. It has been fenced, cleaned and restored by my relatives. The LEONARD families came to the Indian Lands (Sands) area before 1863. The cemetery was part of the John Barrett farm. The cemetery parcel was purchased specifically for a cemetery. Buried there are Ezra Leonard who was born in 1813 in the state of New York and his wife Abigail Segar born in 1823 in Massachusetts. Several of their 13 children including two sons who died in the Civil War are buried there. Other related family buried there include the surnames THOMPKINS and KIP. Deborah (Klawitter) Slager Polo, IL Descendant of Charles Leonard son of Ezra & Abigail LEONARD and Sarah Minerva Ann Bartholomew For the cemetery census taken in 1997 by L.L.
