We communicated off list. There is also a St. John's Lutheran Church located in Princeton, which have records going back to abt. 1865 for births (I have access to those records), as well as confirmations, marriages and deaths. With St. John the Baptist Church in Princeton, which is Catholic, I do not know if you can obtain information from the church or if you have to go through the Arch Diocese. I am under the impression that it is the latter. The Lutheran Church is open to have their old records viewed, but due to the age of some of the books, some churches are putting records on computer. I hope that the day doesn't come when they close the records. They hold a huge amount of information about our ancestors that cannot be obtained anywhere else. I mainly wanted to clarify the fact that the two churches mentioned are in Princeton, not Montello.
