I did a LOT of Stelter research 30 years ago in Marquette County, so most of what I have is primary data. I will be glad to share it with you if you think this is the same guy. For Herman, I have b. 1899 in Mecan, Marq, WI. Md. Lillian Stukopke 22 Sep 1940 in Mecan. One child, Sherman, b. 1946. Herman had 13 brothers and sisters, one of whom was Paul Rudolph, b. 1896. My great-grandmother's maiden name was Stelter. She was born in Westfield, Marquette Co. When I did my research, I found that there seems to be three separate Stelter families, all claiming no relation to each other. I did, however, find a town of origin common to two of the families -- Behle, Posen, Germany. Unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore. I've asked a couple of German researchers and they haven't been able to find it -- yet. Let me know if you want more info on above family. Lynne myfamroots@adelphia.net
