The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. A. Velte. The brides' gowns were white georgette and lace, over white satin; their veils being held in place with pearl bands, and they carried shower bouquets of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaids--Mrs. C. C. Parrot and Miss Eva O'Brien, of Milwaukee, sisters of the brides; the former wearing a powder blue crepe satin dress, and the latter an apricot georgette, both wearing large white hats; their bouquets consisted of roses, larkspur and snapdragons. The best men were Ray Ritchay and Dwight Dobyns. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and sixty guests repaired to the Tourist Hotel where a wedding breakfast was served. The tables were decorated in pink and white. The brides are daughters of Mrs. Alice O'Brien, Milwaukee, to which city the family moved one year ago. It was their wish to be married in Montello, where they were born, attended school and graduated, later entering Whitewater Normal, and graduating there in the Commercial course. After finishing school, Miss Blanche took a position in Fond du Lac, which she has held since this time; Miss Ethel holding a like position in Wisconsin Rapids schools. Both young ladies are well known in this village and are highly respected by all for their admirable characteristics. The best wishes of their hosts of friends go with them to their respective homes. Mr. Justin is the son of Mrs. L. Justin, of Fond du Lac, and holds a position as district manager for the Fuller Brush Company, of Appleton. Aaron Ritchay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ritchay, of Wisconsin Rapids, and will return to his former position as athletic coach of the high school in that city. The two young men are strangers to us, but judging from what the brides are worthy of, they are good and honorable men. The congratulations on the happy event are numerous, and the Express adds its hearty good wishes to those being so freely extended. The out of town guests were: Fond du Lac: Mrs. L. Justin, Mr. and Mrs. A. Mauthe, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riley, Mrs. Grace Trelevan, Miss Nettie Trelevan, Mr. and Mrs. E. Fox and daughter Violet, Dwight Dobyns. Wisconsin Rapids: Mr. and Mrs. A. He was born June 29th, 1840, in the village of Lanarkshire, Scotland. When he was ten years old, his parents brought their family of eight boys to America to build a new home in a new land. They came straight to Wisconsin and settled in Buffalo, where he spent the rest of his life. During the Civil War he enlisted and served for a time in Company G, First Wisconsin Heavy Artillery. He was married December 21, 1875, to Sarah Chapman, who preceded him in death June 18, 1921. Seven children were born to them, of which four survive him: Jean, now Mrs. Robert Hull; Duncan, of the A. and M. College, Texas; Walter, on the home farm, and Logan, of Fresno, California. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one brother, John Reid, of Martinex, California. Early in life he united with the United Presbyterian church, and throughout his life tried to live a consistent Christian life. He was a kind and loving husband, and a tender, considerate father, faithfully caring for his wife during the weakness of her last years, and for his daughter until the time of her death. During the last winter, he had been growing steadily frailer with the weakness of advancing years, and at last quietly passed away at the home of his son, Walter, on Sunday, June 7th. He leaves to his children the precious heritage of a worthy father's memory, and the inspiration of his example.

She took a shotgun and placed the muzzle against her left breast and then discharged the weapon. The charge took an upward course injuring the left arm and shoulder. The flesh was also badly lacerated. It is quite probable that the unfortunate woman will recover. For the past year she has been in very poor health and at times appeared to be mentally unbalanced, and it is thought that her condition, both mentally and physically, prompted her to attempt self-destruction.

She was ill about one week, and from the very first, it was feared she would not survive. Everything possible in the way of medical skill and tender nursing was done for her, but her life could not be saved. Mrs. Budnick was a good woman in every sense of the word--she was endowed with an unusual amount of home love and a desire for the comfort and pleasure of her family; a woman of true motherly traits, and a desire to rear her children in a manner that they might be a credit to the community in which they lived. In her death the husband has lost a true and loving wife; the children will miss the loving care and tender ministrations of a devoted mother, and the community has lost one of nature's noblewomen. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, five small children and many other relatives. Gertrude Lehman was born in Berlin, Wis., August 26th, 1891, where she lived until her marriage to Adam Budnick, which took place October 15th, 1913. Immediately after her marriage she took up her residence in this village, and resided here up to the time of her death. Seven children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. Sympathy is extended to the sorrowing family. We feel the emptiness of human words in times of bitter sorrow. Yet He who "has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows" will comfort and sustain. The funeral was held Wednesday morning, from St. John's Catholic Church, Rev. A. H. Velte conducting the last, sad rites. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery north of town.

F. Currie. She graduated from Montello High School in June, 1921 and the same year she entered Oshkosh Normal, and taking a three year course graduated from that institution. In September 1924 she went to Elco, Wis., where she had been engaged to teach school, but a few weeks ago she was obliged to give up her position on account of ill health. Returning to her home here, she remained for one week before going to the hospital in Milwaukee, where on May 12th she underwent a serious operation and it was thought at first she was on the road to recovery, and the highest home was entertained for a complete restoration of health; but in spite of the best medical skill and tender nursing, death relieved her of all suffering, and the Creator took her unto Himself. Death at any time, or under any circumstances, is a shock to us, but when a young person is stricken, we feel it the more...deceased is survived by her parents, one sister and one brother...the funeral will be held this afternoon (Friday) from the M. E. church and interment will be in the village cemetery.
