It probably means the St. Joseph Cemetery (the French Catholic Church in early times). This cemetery has no gravestones-a few wooden crosses with no names-and 1 cross with a name that can't be read. There is one other possibility, Woodlawn Cemetery has a catholic section in which there are gravestones of others who belonged to the "French" Church. Records for this cemetery are held at Forest Home Cemetery,Mary St.,Marinette,WI 54143 715-732-5173. They are very helpful there and have a good index Linda.
