Hello list, I have been researching the WITT surname and have recently come across some information that both helps and confuses me. I have two great uncles, Carl WITT who married Alvina Tellock (or Fellock) in Marinette - and Henry WITT who married Caroline Traske nee Rosenau. They were all members of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years before their deaths. It is possible that Caroline had been married several times, as her obituary states as a survivor, her husband Carl and children, Albert (WITT??) and Henry Pruschinski. Other survivors were Anna (Mrs Otto) Krutz, (who in Carl's obituary is listed as his daughter), a brother Herman Tellock of Detroit, a sister ?Wilhagen and another brother John in Austrailia. Then there is Henry Witt's wife Caroline TRASKE nee ROSENAU who married him 12-5-1905 (this is correct because it states Henry's parents as Christian Witt and Caroline SCHMELZER of Poland) and another wife, whom he must have married after Caroline's death in 1928 - Julia MUNDT who was born in 1888 and who survived after he died. My grandmother's name is mentioned in that obituary so that is correct too. Then Julia's obituary says she has a daughter Mrs Harold MENOR who lived on Terrace Ave in 1964. All are buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. I'm looking for any descendants or relatives or anyone who may be able to shed some light on this group. Does anything sound familiar to anyone?
