Dear Julie, I wish I could help you with your specific question, but unfortunately I don't live close enough to Marinette. I do have a question for you however. Do you know what nationality your LaBOMASCUS might be? I'm curious, because my grandmother, Marinette VIAU GLASSEL, had a nephew, George Patrick WILLIAMS, who married Eva DEBASCUS, (a surname which to me has a similar ending). They may have met in Marinette. My mother told me that George and Eva lived in northern Indiana, "in a Lithuanian settlement," but I don't know when. The only date I have for that branch of the VIAU family, is the birthdate of George Patrick's mother, Margaret VIAU WILLIAMS, which was 23 Dec 1874 in Malone, Franklin Co, NY. Would any particular group still live in a "settlement" in the early 1900's? Your query made me realize that I haven't even figured out where Geo & Eva married, or if they had children, etc., and so I thank you for the reminder. Good luck with your search. I hope somebody can look up your LaBOMASCUS and GRONKE names in the Marinette City Directories-- Regards, Tom Glassel
