Dear Friends, I am trying to locate information on my friend's grandfather and am hoping someone out there might be of help. According to his obit: he was a captain on the Great Lakes, started at age 12 in the days of square-rigger ships. He was a native of Marinette, WI. He worked for the Boland Lines (we have contacted them for info...nothing yet). His son, Herbert H. Peterson and a brother, Martin Peterson were also Great Lakes Captains. Also a grandson was. He came to Buffalo, NY sometime before 1904, married and had a family and lived here until he died. If anyone is familiar with this family or has any ideas on how to find out any info about them, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Deb D. (for Carol)
