Jerry Kovers Kovnesky, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 22, at his home in the Town of Stockbridge. Born March 29, 1931 in Milwaukee to Lucille (Frankowski) Kovnesky, and the late Edward Kovnesky, he married Alice Ries on July 7, 1976. He was a graduate of the Boys Trade and Technical High School in 1950, where he studied trade and electrical. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard. For 15 years he worked for the Wisconsin Gas Co., retiring in 1986. Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Michaels of Florida, Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Stenson of Saukville; two brothers, Ralph Kovnesky of Glendale, Ariz., Ken Kovnesky of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Mary Ries of Peshtigo; niece, Mrs. Jim (Mary) Albright of Peshtigo; and four aunts, all from the Coleman area, Gladys Kovnesky, Emma Watson, Alice Bedora and Mrs. August (Edna) Borkowski. He was preceded in death by a brother, David.
