    1. [WIMARINE] Ellis Junction - Crivitz
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nFC.2ACI/678 Message Board Post: I understand that "Ellis Junction became the town of Crivitz in 1897. In 1927 Crivitz was dissolved and became part of the town of Stephenson. In 1974 the Village of Crivitz was incorporated again"....Can anyone tell me if it is still considered Crivitz? My great-grandfather, Frank Turner (son of Lars & Johanna Turner) listed Ellis Junction, WI as his residence on his marriage record to Augusta Lind on April 16,1897. The marriage took place in Marinette, WI. In 1893 he "may have been" a teamster in Eau Claire, WI as I found a "Frank Turner" in the Eau Claire directory on Ancestry.com. But I realize that the name Frank Turner is very common. I know in later years he lived in various towns in Michigan (Stephenson, Hermansville, Norway and Escanaba). After his wife, Augusta's death he married her sister, Ida Lind (between 1902-1904) I don't know the location of that marriage. Frank died on 10/3/1918 in Escanaba after living there for about 10 years. Older family members tell me that he supposedly owned a livery stable in Escanaba at one time which could tie in with the possibility of being a teamster. His obituary states that his health had declined and possibly caused his "financial reverses". He was a watchman at the time of his death, but apparently was not working steadily. Frank & Augusta's daughter, Lillian Frances Turner claims she was born in 1900 in Stephenson, MI. However, I have not been able to verify that. I am looking for any information that may be available regarding Frank Turner. I'd love to hear from anyone with any possible leads. Thanks! Erica Hearne EricaHearne@hotmail.com
