She had been ill for several years and suffered a stroke three weeks ago. The former Caroline Edlebeck was born in Bohemia on August 22, 1866, and was married there in 1883 to Peter Polomis. They came to the United States In 1903 and settled in Wausaukee where they operated a creamery for many years. Her husband died in 1927 and for the past 15 years she had resided with her son in law and daughter. She is survived by seven sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. Stajduhar, Mrs. Elmer Duquaine of Green Bay, Louis, James, Antone and George Polomis of Wausaukee, Frank Polomis of Marinette, Joseph Polomis of Norway, Mich., and Charles Polomis of Milwaukee. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Emma Jermac of Wausaukee, 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A son, Peter Polomis, was killed in World War I and a son and two daughters died in infancy. The Rev. Casimer Tomczyk will say a requiem mass in St. Augustine’s church at 9 a.m. Saturday and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at Morasky funeral home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
