J. Wiltshire Dies Saturday Samuel J. Wiltshire, 77, pioneer Athelstane resident, died Sunday at 9:40 a.m., in the Ida McVane Memorial Home in Crivitz where his wife died Saturday. Double rites will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., in the Morasky funeral home at Wausaukee. The Rev. Edward F. Lutz of Assembly of God Church in Pound will officiate. Burial will be in Athelstane Cemetery. Mr. Wiltshire had served as assessor of the Town of Silver Cliff. He was a sawmill operator and woodsman all his life. He was born Nov. 2, 1885, in Morgan Park, Ill., and resided at Sun Prairie, Wis., and Streeter, Ill., before moving to Athelstane at the age of eight years. He married the former Emma Makovsky on Feb. 25, 1909, at Iron Mountain. Surviving are a son, Samuel A., and a daughter, Mrs. Carl Jensen, of Athelstane; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Busker of Forreston, Ill., Mrs. Frances James of Freeport, Ill., and Miss Lillian Wiltshire of Branch, Mich., 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
