Francis & Wenceslaus church in Klondike for Gotlieb Kovnesky, 89, of 7535 cty. B West, Coleman. Rev. Fr. Michael Clifford officiated with burial in St. Wenceslaus cemetery, town of Brazeau. Rhodes Charapata Funeral home of Coleman was in charge of arrangements. He died unexpectedly Saturday evening, Aug. 3, at Bay Area Medical center in Marinette. Born Oct. 20,1906 in the town of Brazeau to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kovnesky, he married the former Gladys Lardinois on Dec. 19, 1933 at Marinette. He operated a farm in the town of Brazeau, worked at Graetz Mfg. co., Pound and then was employed at the Coleman Elevator company until retirement. A member of Rost Lake Association and the Klondike Sportsman club, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He belonged to Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus church and sang in the choir. His wife survives with two daughters, Mrs. David (Adeline) Thielke of Menomonee Falls and Janet Chapman of West Bend; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Badora of Coleman, Emmie Watson and Mrs. August (Edna) Borkowski, both of Pound and a brother, Albert (Florence) Kovnesky of Lake Mills. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
