Ricketts Killed In Viet Nam Mission Wausaukee-- -Word has been received by relatives that Lt. Col. James E. Ricketts, Jr., of Springfield, Virginia was killed Tuesday morning, April 8 while flying a B-52 bombing mission over Viet Nam. His wife is the former Allene Haines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Haines of Wausaukee and the couple has two daughters, Lynda and Gail. Mr. and Mrs. Haines will fly Thursday to Virginia to be with their daughter. According to the report, Lt. Col. Ricketts was based at Thailand and was due to return to the United States in May after spending one year in Thailand. He is a 27 year veteran of the Air Force.
