Norton Marinette Eagle-Star Newspaper Tuesday, 5 March 1940 Funeral services for Homer I. Norton, retired purchasing agent for the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railway, who died suddenly Saturday morning at his home, 909 Well street, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Masonic temple. W.A. Raue, past master, conducted the Masonic rites. Pallbearers were H.B. Held, Bert Heindl, Warren Grace, C. W. Skowlund, Fred Schultz and John Gagnon. The remains were taken to Milwaukee today for cremation. Those from away attending the funeral included Earl Saxton, Mrs. Byrd Tepper and Ben Perlick of Chicago, Perry Schjoth of Milwaukee, M. J. Fox, S. G. McCabe and J. R. Peebles of Iron Mountain, Mr. And Mrs. Alfred Olson of Ephraim, Wis., and Mr. And Mrs. L. E. Schrieber and Mr. And Mrs. William Bonville of Fish Creek, Wis. The deceased was a former director and vice president of Crivitz Pulp and paper mill at the time it was organized in 1902 until it was sold in 1917 and was also president of the Twin City Packing company in 1912.
