My ggg grandmother was a Kapischke who immigrated to Marquette County around 1854 as the wife of Christian Brown. He supposedly died enroute and was buried at sea. She married my ggg grandfather Johann Hoeft shortly after arriving. Apparently they were all aboard the same vessel. Do you know anything about the Kapischke's? I've come across many spelling variations, including Kopperske, Kabischke, and Copueshky. Cindy
