Yes, I know that the death certificate "says" the death was Jan. 8, 1911 but note the physician says last date attended was October, 1911 and date death recorded was 8 Jan 1912 so I strongly believe that the first "date of death" showing 1911 is incorrect. Also the family bible gives 1912 as the date of death. Had the doctor attended him in October 1911, he could not have died in January 1911. Do you follow my reasoning? No wonder we genealogists have a terrible time of it. Thanks so much for helping. He probably was buried at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery although they have no record of it. His wife #2 has a very nice monument there; wife #3, too, is buried there (wife #1 died in Ottawa, Can and is buried there). I surmise that he died with very little $$$ and therefore may not even have had a tombstone. His daughter, Gertrude Russell CHRIST lived in Wausaukee (Marinette Co.) and I am searching for any of her descendents.
