Dowson, 86, of Peshtigo, were held Wednesday, Nov. 7 [1991] at Zion Lutheran Church, Peshtigo. Rev. Arthur Callies officiated with burial in the Lithuanian National Cemetery in Willow Springs, IL. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo was in charge of arrangements. She died Sunday, Nov. 4 at Bay Area Medical Center. Born Dec. 9, 1903 in the town of Peshtigo, the former Alvina Hipke lived in Chicago until 1972 when she moved to the town of Peshtigo. Her husband, Peter Dowson, died in 1951. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society. Surviving is one sister, Anna Devroy of Peshtigo. Seven brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
