MALMSTADT Irvine J. Malmstadt, age 74, of N1236 Hwy M-35, Menominee, died unexpectedly at his home early Sunday morning, May 7, 1995. He was born in Marinette, February 4, 1921. He had attended the former Lourdes High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had worked for 10 years in Milwaukee returning to Menominee in 1967. He had worked for 5 years for Sam Komp Painters. He was self-employed as a painter for many years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, Little River Country Club and the Silver Swingers at Little River. On April 26, 1941 he married the former Antoinette (Tony) Fischer in Marinette. Besides his wife he is survived by 1 son, Michael (Ginny), Menominee; 7 daughters, Kay (Richard) Mattsen, Oshkosh, Nancy (Edward) Streeter, California, Gail (Dennis) Brunelle, Cindy (Gary) Homa, Sue (James) Gressel and Brenda Malmstadt, all of Menominee, and Karen (Michael) Costello, Marinette; 4 sisters, Marge Matz and Ruth (Robert) Fischer, Marinette, Jean (Jon) Maloney, Green Bay and Arlyss Bero, Menominee; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. 3 brothers, Clifford, Francis and Clayton preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Lemieux-Thielen Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Parish prayers Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Church. The Rev. Rick Courier will officiate. Burial will be in the Birch Creek Cemetery.
