Malmstadt Clayton M. Malmstadt, age 74, of Route 1 Amberg, Town of Athelstane, died unexpectedly Tuesday December 4, 1990 at his home. He was born August 17, 191 in Marinette, residing here most of his life until moving to the Town of Athelstane several years ago. On March 25, 1941, he was married to the former Grace Wortner. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was a well known painter and decorator in this area. He was also an avid woodworking craftsman. Mr. Malmstadt was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 991. Surviving are his wife, 1 daughter, Vicki (Brian) Guay, of Marinette, 1 brother, Irvin, of Menominee, 5 sisters, Margaret Matz, of Marinette, Arlys Bero, of Menominee, Beatrice Wickman, of Marinette, Ruth Fischer, of Marinette, Jean Maloney, of Suamico and 4 grandchildren. Two brothers, Francis and Clifford died previously. Friends may call at the Zeitler-Martell Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services there at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
