    1. GRONKE and SPUITH families
    2. Julie Ann
    3. I am seeking information on Friedrich GRONKE, and his wife Henriette (nee SPUITH). When I did some research at the courthouse in Marinette, the handwriting on the old documents of the time was rather bad, but I THINK they might have come from Charlevoix, MI originally. I was unable to find their death certificates; they might have died elsewhere, but I am not sure. Has anyone done any research on the obits in the local paper (Marinette Eagle-Star)? Or found their graves in Marinette? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Does anyone, anywhere in their research have information about the family of MICHAEL FRAWLEY from Marinette? They moved there in 1881, he died in 1922. They were RC and went to Our Lady of Loudes church and is buried in Forest Home. His wife (and this is who I am really trying to figure out) appears as MARY FRAWLEY in all references: Marriage application from Elkhorn 1880, (MARY MORRISSEY); 1900, 1910, 1920 census; funeral home record; cemetery record. But she is called JULIA in her obit and on numerous docs concerning her children. Her children include RUSSELL FRAWLEY, who married Marion Wall. Russell died in Beaver Dam in the 70's. Any help appreciated. 3. Posted on: Marinette County Wi. Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/Marinette/459 Surname: RUSSELL ------------------------- Thank you so much for your kind help. Yes, I know that the death certificate "says" the death was Jan. 8, 1911 but note the physician says last date attended was October, 1911 and date death recorded was 8 Jan 1912 so I strongly believe that the first "date of death" showing 1911 is incorrect. Also the family bible gives 1912 as the date of death. Had the doctor attended him in October 1911, he could not have died in January 1911. Do you follow my reasoning? No wonder we genealogists have a terrible time of it. Thanks so much for helping. He probably was buried at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery although they have no record of it. His wife #2 has a very nice monument there; wife #3, too, is buried there (wife #1 died in Ottawa, Can and is buried there). I surmise that he died with very little $$$ and therefore may not even have had a tombstone. His daughter, Gertrude Russell CHRIST lived in Wausaukee (Marinette Co.) and I am searching for any of her descendents.
