    1. [WIMARINE] Marriage of George Doran and Mae Boyle 1911
    2. Wednesday 14 June 1911 Marinette Eagle-Star, Marinette, Wisconsin "SOCIAL HAPPENINGS This morning at a nuptial High Mass in the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Miss May Marjorie Boyle was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to George Edward Doran of Menominee. The Rev. Fr. Tulley was the officiating clergyman. The church was filled with friends of the young couple to witness the ceremony. It was just 8 o'clock when the strains of the Lohenrgrim's wedding march announced the approach of the bridal party. They came down the main aisle, the maid of honor Miss Lillian Boyle, sister of the bride, Floyd Doran, brother of the groom, best man heading, then came the bride leaning on the arm of the groom. The Rev. Fr. Tulley met them at the altar and then and there were pronounced the solemn words that made them man and wife. The nuptial High Mass followed; the choir rendering for the first time Cary's Mass in honor of the bride. The full choir sang the Mass. After the Mass the bridal party left the church to the music of the Mendelson march and proceeded to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Boyle, 2014 Hall avenue where a wedding breadfast was served. Relatives of the contracting parties were the only guests. The entire church ceremony was a beautiful and impressive one. The bride looked radiant in a gown of embroidered chiffon with yoke of baby Irish lace trimmed with pearls. She wore a necklace of pearls and a veil, and carried a prayer book with streamers of lillies-of-the-valley. Miss Lillian Boyle, the bridesmaid, was attired in a gown of pink crepe de chaine with a picture hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet of peonies. The bride's traveling costume was a dark blue suit. The wedding breakfast catered by Madame Schons. The color scheme was pink and white. The house was beautified with pink and white roses, smilax, and streamers of white and pink. The breadfast was served in five courses. The place cards were hand painted. The wedding breakfast was served by the Misses Della Neidl, Elinor Cleary, Katharine Kennedy, Dollie Jordan, and Bridget Boyle. The guests from outside were Charles Boyle from South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Boyle of Stambaugh and children John and Claire. Mr. and Mrs. Doran left this noon on their honeymoon trip to Montreal, a large party of friends bidding them farewell at the station. They will return to reside in a home on Pierce avenue. The bride received a fine array of beautiful gifts including several checks. Both the bride and groom possess a host of friends in the twin cities. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Boyle, pioneer residents of Marinette. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Doran old residents of Menominee."

    2. Not because of any known or suspected connections; however,....because our family is at a loss with our Grandmother Laura Fleming Phelan's heritage...AND...since my father's given middle name is Robertson...thought it wouldn't hurt to send this out to you all and just see if anything should connect.... Maybe coincidentially, Nita Davidson (NitaDavidson@MSN.com)

    1. [WIMARINE] Re: Lessor, Marcotte
    2. Cheryl: I am taking a chance here. I believe Coleman, Wisconsin, is located in Marinette County, Wisconsin, which is the county just to the northeast of Oconto County, Wisconsin. According to the 1900 census, my great-grandmother, Mary Specht Scheuren Lessor, lived in Coleman with her second husband, John Lessor (b. March 1848). The Lessor children listed on the census were: Adolph, born Aug 1878, age 21, Joseph, born June 1882, age 17, Isodore, born June 1883, age 16, Exone, born Mar 1886, age 14, and, Archie, born Mar 1894, age 6. Would John Lessor, perhaps, be related to any of your Lessor's? Jeff McCartney JMccart384@aol.com

    1. [WIMARINE] Deau's and Beauvais's in Marinette and Menominee
    2. I seek information about the Deau, Beauvais, and related families who originate in the Marinette and Menominee area. I am especially interested in Deau and Beauvais families who lived in the Marinette and Menominee area around 1900. Specifically, I am interested in the descendants of Alexis [Alexander] Deau and Marie Albine (Clement) Deau who lived in Marinette in 1900. I know they had at least one son, William Deau, who married Rose Beauvais, and had the following children: William Thomas Deau m. Hilda Haack Dorothy Marie Deau m. Peter DuFrane Goldye Albena Deau m. Ellsworth Sickler Fern Catherine Deau m. Edward House Russel Dewey Robert Deau - who changed his last name to Dean and has a daughter named Judy Mildred Bernadette Deau - who was a Roman Catholic nun. I am interested in the descendants of Thomas Beauvais and Marie (Patnaud) Beauvais. They had the following children: Agapit Beauvais Rosina Beauvais Rosa Beauvais m. William [Willy] Deau William Thomas Beauvais married a woman whose first name is Anita Thomas Beauvais, Jr. Gilbert Beauvais married a woman whose first name is Christine and had a child named Sylvia. Elizabeth Beauvais m. Edgar M. Taliaferro I would be happy to hear from any descendant of any related family wherever you now live. I am trying to construct an all inclusive family tree. Of course, I would like to hear from anyone else who has any information on any of the Deau, Beauvais, or related families. Reply to: Jeff McCartney JMccart384@aol.com
