I may have some connection to the Boesens in Cabry IL as they were married at the same church as my g.g.grandmother.

I just checked my Boesen "possible relatives" file, and I do not have an Elizabeth. (Was Boesen her married name, since her parents had a different last name?) In my research I have also come across (unrelated) Boesens in Cabry, Ill., Racine, Wis., and Nebraska. I will add your message to the file and keep an eye out for links.

She was the daughter of Joannes Soester and Anna Maria Soester. She was born in March 1858. I beleive her family emigrated in about 1870. She had brothers Peter, Nicholaus, Bernard and Franz, sisters Catharina, Anna, Anna Margaretha and Magdalena. The emigrated to Chicago and have found church records but quite a few Boesens at St. Michael's and am unsure if they are all connected. Any insite you can provide would be appreciated.

Classification: Queries Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nFC.2ACI/182.267.269 Message Board Post: I read your message where you state that Lottie Clausson Bradley was born in Cato, WI, in 1866. I was very interested because my great-grandmother, Adeline Classon McCartney, lived in Cato, WI, with her parents Alandon R. Classon and Agnes Knight Classon from around 1855 to at least 1868, when she married George W. McCartney, my great-grandfather. Adeline's parents lived, died, and are buried in Cato. You have noted that Lottie's father was Silas Clausson. I have reviewed what I can online of the Classon lineage and find no Silas. The names Wilbur and Lottie Bradley are well known to my father James K. McCartney, who is the son of Claude A. McCartney, who is turn is the son of George W. and Adeline Classon McCartney who live and died in Oconto, WI. Claude had a sister, Minnie McCartney Mierke, who I understand was a long time friend of Lottie's. If any of this rings a bell, I would be happy to hear from you.

Classification: Queries Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nFC.2ACI/272.1 Message Board Post: Personally I don't know much about Lottie Bradley, but I have heard the name from my parents. My dad's name is James McCartney. He is the son of Claude A. McCartney, who was born in Oconto, Wisconsin in 1881. Claude's dad was George W. McCartney. Claude's mother was Adeline Classon McCartney. I have a copy of a document that shows that on June 15, 1916, George W. McCartney, the son of G. W. and Adeline McCartney, won a law suit for title over a parcel of land near Oconto. The plaintiffs were Lottie Bradley and Jennette Wheeler and the defendants were Adeline McCartney and her son, George W. McCartney. I saw you have Lottie's maiden name as Claussen. That is very close to Adeline's maiden name of Classon. I would be interested to know who Lottie's parents were. Perhaps I could pose your questions to my father to see if he can answer them.

    1. [WIMARINE] Pinegrove Cemetery
    2. I have come to believe that a Pinegrove Cemetery exists in Marinette. Does anyone have a directory to the Pinegrove Cemetery? I would like to know what is inscribed on the headstone (if one exists) for Alexander Deau who was buried in section R1 grave 18 of that cemetery. Also I would like to know if anyone is buried next to him. The Alexander Deau I am investigating was married to Marie Albine Clement, who, according to the information I have, died April 28, 1910, a date I am trying to confirm. I would also like to know what is on her headstone (if it exists) too. I am also trying to confirm where both Alexander and Marie Albine died. Any help would be appreciated!
