Herman A. Tesch, 88, formerly of Route 1, Woodland Drive, Wausau, died Monday in a local nursing home. Mr. Tesch was a saw operator for the former Underwood Veneer Co. and a florist at the former Lund and Leaps florals. He was born Aug. 5, 1894, in Dodge County, son of August and Augusta Tesch. He was married in 1915 to Elizabeth Kohnhorst. She died in 1931. On Sept. 19, 1936, in Schofield, he was married to Adeline Paulman. She died Jan. 20, 1974. Survivors include four sons, William, Glen Burnie, Md., Roger, 810 N. Sixth Ave., Wausau, Elmer, 812 Pflieger St., Rothschild, and Alfred, Wausau; five daughters, Mrs. Scott (Carol) Lonie, Route 6, Merrill, Mrs. John (Ruth) Londerville, Route 1, Woodland Drive, Wausau, Mrs. Fred (Esther) Shorey, Milwaukee, Mrs. Eugene (Edith) Borth, 5515 Gordon St., Schofield, and Alice Tesch, Chippewa Falls; a brother, Emil, West Bend; 40 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, Schofield. The Rev. Vernon Dolde will officiate and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Helke West Chapel, Wausau. Friends may call at the church from noon Thursday until time of services.
