Funeral services for Joseph W. Priebe, 78, 1527 Depot St., Schofield, who died at home at 10:10 a.m. Monday following a brief illness, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peace United Church of Christ. The Rev. Vernon Dolde will officiate and burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. The body is at Ritter & Deutsch Funeral Home and will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Priebe, Mr. Priebe was born in Wausau, June 16, 1887. He lived in the Schofield area most of his life and was a retired foreman for the Marathon Division of American Can Co. He belonged to the Quarter Century Club there. On July 14, 1905 he was married in Schofield to Mary Falk, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Norman, Menasha, Elmer, Reseda, Calif., and Wilbur, Schofield; a daughter, Mrs. William Fischer, Rothschild; two brothers, Oscar, Eagle River, and Albert, Lakewood; four sisters, Mrs. Hulda Muelver, Colonial Manor, Mrs. Oscar Goranson, Pelican Lake, Mrs. Erma Anderson, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Clayton Beyreis, Schofield; 11 grandchildren and seven great-granchildren.
