Edward L. Sutherland, 68, City View Nursing Home, Tomahawk, died about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill. He was a Tomahawk native. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. The Rev. John Machek will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk. Friends may call at the Krueger and Son Funeral Home in Tomahawk Thursday after 4 p.m. and at the church Friday from 11 a.m. to the hour of services. Mr. Sutherland was born Feb. 28, 1903, in Tomahawk, son of Mrs. Oscar Sutherland, Sacred Heart Nursing Home in Tomahawk, and the late Mr. Sutherland. He lived in Tomahawk most of his life and was employed at Owens - Illinois, Inc. until retirement eight years ago. Survivors, besides his mother, include five sisters, Mrs. W.R. Ahrens, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Paul Schmidt, 1220 S. 11th Ave., Wausau, Mrs. Edward Bushar, Tomahawk Route 4, and Mrs. Thomas Brown, Tomahawk Route 2, and Mrs. Henry Kuntz, 427 E. Washington Ave., Tomahawk.
