Griesbach - Died 9/26/1980 STRATFORD - Alois A. Griesbach, 80, Route 3, a life-long area resident, died of a heart attack at 5:45 Friday in the emergency room of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic church, Rozellville. The Rev. Carl A. Wohlmuth is to officiate. Burial will be in the St. Andrew's Cemetery. St. Andrew's Men's' Choir will sing the Mass of the Resurrection with organ accompaniment by Mr. Griesbach's son, Silvan. Pallbearers, all grandsons of Mr. Griesbach, will be Glenn, William and James Griesbach, James Flaig. and Richard and Thomas Sterzinger. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. A parish vigil will be at 8 Sunday night followed by St. Anne's Society rosary at 8:15 at the funeral home. Mr. Griesbach was born Sept. 15, 1900 in the town of Day to Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Margaret Schilling) Griesbach. He attended St. Andrew's Parochial School. On Oct. 30, 1923 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, he married Miss Loretta Brost. She survives. The couple farmed for 35 years, before retiring in 1957 and moving to Rozellville. He also painted houses from 1955 to 1973. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1973. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and a life-time member of St. Andrew's Men's Choir. Besides his wife and son Silvan, who resides on Route 3, Stratford, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Maxine) Seidl, Route 5, Marshfield, and Mrs. Ambrose (Eunice) Sterzinger, Route 2, Colby; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren' two brothers, John of Manitowoc, and Arthur of Arpin; and tow sisters, Mrs. Mae Monks of Marshfield and Miss Delia Griesbach, Cazenovia. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased.
