Carl P. Lochen, 73, Athens, died Sunday at 11:10 a.m. at a Medford hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Ralph Geissler will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Gilles and Son Funeral Home, Athens, after 3 p.m. Tuesday, where there will be a parish rosary at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Lochen was born June 5, 1900, in Newburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lochen. On July 2, 1930, in Athens, he was married to Marie Peters, who survives. He lived in the Town of Halsey for 58 years and he moved to Athens 12 years ago. He was employed at Berg Equipment Co., in Marshfield. Survivors, besides his wife, include two brothers, Ollie, West Bend, and George, Oregon; and two sisters, Miss Della Lochen, Athens, and Mrs. Joseph Calmes, Town of Johnson.
