Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Helke funeral home, interment in Pine Grove cemetery following. The Rev. E. C. Grauer will officiate. Mrs. Schmitz was born in Germany, September 20, 1854, and came to America and Wausau in 1882. She was married here in 1884 to Peter Schmitz who died thirty-six years ago. She is survived by eight children, Henry Schmitz, 926 Town Line road, Mrs. Katherine Herbat, Hortonville, Charles Weilbrenner, Minneapolis, William Schmitz, address unknown, Mrs. Helen McKenate, New York city, Fred Schmitz, 613 Union avenue, Mrs. Elizabeth Nimz, 630 Wausau avenue, Mrs. Grace Smith, 611 Union avenue; and forty-four grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
