Gottschalk, 75, Colby, died May 4, 1998 at St Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 9, at 12 pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. The family will greet friends following the service. Community Funeral Home in Colby is assisting the family with arrangements. Arnold was born Jan 25, 1923 in Colby, to William and Adel Johnson Gottschalk. He attended Cloverdale School in the Town of Colby. Arnold and Alvera Nosbisch were married Sept 16, 1950 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. He worked for Melvin Companies of Abbotsford for more than 25 years. He was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church. Arnold is survived by his wife Alvera of Colby, his children, William Gottschalk of Salinas, California and Holly Gottschalk of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; his sisters, Alvina Baumgart of Marshfield, Myrtle Gottschalk of Marshfield and Lucille (Kenneth) Kobs of Marshfield, Albert and Rueben Gottschalk of Marshfield, Harvey (Lorraine) Gottschalk of Unity, Elroy (Betty) Gottschalk of Heartland and Lavern Gottschalk of Coloma and a sister in law, Gladys Gottschalk of Colby. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Gottschalk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby.
