Brost, 88, of 11303 Robin Road, who died at 5:05pm Thursday at the Marshfield Living Center where he had been a resident since Dec 12, will be at 10:30am Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. The Rev. Francis A. Wavra will officiate. Helen Brinkman, organist, and Frank Binder, soloist will provide music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ronald, Robert, Randy and John Brost, Tom Hardinger and Kevin and Craig Thurs. Visitation will be at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel at 4pm Sunday and again Monday until service time. A parish prayer service will be at 7pm Sunday at the funeral chapel. He was born in New Hampton, Iowa Sept 12,1903 to Lambert and Margaret (May) Brost. He attended New Hampton schools. He married Elsie S. Shultz, May 11,1926 at St Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. As a young man in 1919, he moved with his parents from Iowa to the Rozellville area, where they farmed. Following marriage, he continued to farm there until 1939. They then moved to the town of Lincoln to farm. They farmed there until retiring in 1973, then moved to Marshfield for a short time and then returned to the town of Lincoln. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Vernon of Unity, Roman and Jerome, both of Chili; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marion) Thurs of Janesville and Mrs. Floyd F. (Rita) Hardinger of Hewitt; one brother Lawrence of Marshfield, three sisters, Mrs. Loretta Griesbach of Stratford, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Linzmeier of Auburndale, Mrs. Gust (Delphina) Bleichrot of Muskego, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and four sisters, and one granddaughter, Karen Brost on Jan 20,1990.
