Funeral services for Miss Lottie Brassard, 86, 312 Scott St., Merrill, a retired school teacher who died Saturday morning, will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Krueger Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, both in Merrill. The Rev. James Nesbitt will officiate and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Merrill. Friends may call now at the funeral home. The Catholic Woman's Club said the rosary there this afternoon and the parish rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight. The Catholic Woman's Club will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Miss Brassard was an elementary school teacher for 50 years before her retirement in 1958. She taught the fourth grade at Lincoln School in Merrill for 37 years after previous teaching duties in a rural school, the former Gleason State-grade School in 1911-15, and in Wabeno schools in 1915-20. She was born April 5, 1887, in Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Brassard. She was a member of the Catholic Woman's Club, the Altar Society at St. Robert's Church, and the Merrill - Tomahawk Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Roger Kiriban, Milwaukee, Miss Lucina Brassard and Mrs. Rosana Reynolds, both of 625 Park Ave., Wausau, and Mrs. Laura Trottier, Iron Mountain, Mich. She made her home with a sister-in-law, Mrs. Joseph Brassard.
