Masanz, 71, Town of Cleveland, a farmer and lifelong resident of Marathon County, died Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at his home. Funeral services will be tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock in St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Halder, with the Rev. Eugene A. Comiskey officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Sauter Funeral home at Stratford. Born Dec. 1, 1886, in the Town of Emmet, Mr. Masanz and the former Miss Mary Baur were married June 6, 1911, at Halder and the couple took up farming in the Town of Cleveland. Mrs. Masanz died April 5, 1950. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Paul Wiesman and Mrs. Frank Feltz, Town of Emmet, Mrs. Lawrence Novitzke, Appleton, and Mrs. Charles Rehlinger, Marshfield; six sons, Gerhardt and Clarence Masanz, at home, Felix and Roman Masanz, Town of McMillan, Mark Masanz, Marshfield, and Joseph Masanz, Town of Cleveland; a brother, George Masanz, Rothschild; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Martin, Town of Emmet, Miss Lillian Masanz, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Richard Bauer, Eugene, Ore.; 27 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
