Linzmeier, 90, town of Milladore, died at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 23, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove. He was admitted to the home on Aug 15. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Blenker. The Rev. John A. Wisneski, pastor, will officiate. Music will be proved by Judy Meyer, organist, for St. Kilian's Folk Choir with Doris Mielke directing. Burial will be in St. Kilian's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Wayne Linzmeier; Mark Linzmeier and Gary Linzmeier; and nephews. Virgil Folz, Oville Bornbach and Richard H. Haffenbredl. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel in Marshfield and again until 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, then from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. He was born March 14, 1906, in the town of Milladore in Wood County, to Joseph and Rose(Grassl) Linzmeier. He was educated in town of Milladore schools. As a young man, he farmed in the area and was later employed in Milwaukee. Following his marriage to Dorothea K Brost on Sept. 26, 1934, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville, the couple farmed in the town of Milladore until their retirement in 1980. In addition to farming, Mr. Linzmeier was also engaged in construction work. He continued to reside in the township until the present time. He was a member of St. Kilian's Catholic Church. He is survived by six sons, Donald Linzmeier of West Pittsburg, Calif., Marcel (Nancy) Linzmeier of Minocqua, Dale (Marlene) Linzmeier of Milladore, Julius (Mae) Linzmeier, Wallace (Mary) Linzmeier and and Merald "Moe" (Brenda) Linzmeier, all of Aburndale; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Frances) Linzmeir of Wisconsin Rapids; and four sisters, Ann (Frank) Wilatoski of Marshfield, Josephine (Philip) Haffenbredl of Auburndale, Margaret Haffenbredl of Wisconsin Rapids and Mary (Clifford) Kazda of Mary Esther, Fla. He was predeceased by his wife on Feb. 16, 1992; a daughter, Beverly E. Hach on July 16, 1992; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
