I have been building my family tree for about 5-6 yrs. This past weekend, a first cousin, that I haven't seen for almost 25 yrs., visited my mother here in Indiana. Taking along family tree forms, I had her fill out her dads side of the family the best she could. What is interesting, is that she married a William Braatz. Then today, Monday, I receive this email from you, concerning the Braatz name from around 1872! I wonder if we are related? I am going to contact my cousins' son, & see what we can come up with. If you have any further information on Braatz, please contact. I know several years after my cousin married, they for some reason moved to Milwaukee, but all of our family ties are into Marathon County, with towns such as Startford, Colby, & Marshfield.
