The site is very helpful, but it takes for ever to get records. Most military records have been stored at a facility in St. Louis, & the addresses to obtain forms needed are on the site. Just remember, there was a huge building fire in 1973, & lots of records were lost. My grandfather's records, who served in WW1 in France were lost is that fire. All they could send me was a certification of military service with name, rank, & service dates, but it was something. Good luck in your searches.............
