I hope this gives some help of a time frame that the hotel was there. John Munes was the first man to make the trip to and from Dorchester in a single day, and he later acquired a team of roadsters which enabled him to make the trip to and from Wausau in a single day. But the departure in the morning was at extremely early hour while the return home was very late. John Munes was also the store owner for the company store in Athens, Wisconsin. John Munes sadly passed away due to being stuck in a rain storm on his way to Wausau, WI. He passed away at the Adams house in Wausau, WI. For several years I had searched to find out what the Adams house was. To my surprise was a hotel that was managed by John Adams. The building was a large brick building on the corner of Fourth and Jackson Streets. It had large, pleasant rooms, and good accommodations.
