Lillie Howard S. Lillie, one of the first settlers of Wausau who came here in 1856 when he was six months old, passed away last night at 7:40 o'clock at the home of a sister Mrs. C. E. Whitney, 816 Manson street, after an illness of three years. He was a timber cruiser and worked for a number of Wausau lumber and logging companies in various parts of the country. The deceased was born in Hawley, Penn., March 2 1856 and was unmarried. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Lamphier and Mrs. Fred Morman and Mrs. C. E. Whitney of Wausau; and two brother, George and Ellsworth Lillie of Wausau. His father was Daniel Lillie.
