Hello, Marathoners . . . Can someone please tell me where the town or village of Jenny was or is located? It does not appear on my Wisconsin roadmap. It did not appear on the Marathon County website's list of place names. From a web search I learned that in 1880 it was in Lincoln County, which had been formed "almost entirely" from Marathon County (correct me if I am wrong here!). Perhaps the place that was called Jenny is still populated but is now called something else, or is part of some larger populated area. Or perhaps it simply no longer exists. But maybe someon can at least give me some idea of where it was located. One of my ancestors appears to have enlisted in Co. C, 37th Reg't. in 1864 during the War of the Rebellion. Jenny, Wisconsin was listed as his place of residence. His name was William Averill. Thanks for any help, -rex Tallahassee, North Florida
