Mrs. Emma Schmutzler, Town of Hewitt, died Sunday night at 8:30 o'clock in a local hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Zion Lutheran Church, Town of Easton, with the Rev. Reinhold Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery here. The body which is in the Helke Funeral Home here, will be taken to the church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Mrs. Schmutzler, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Kluender, was born May 17, 1874, in the Town of Wausau. A life-long resident of this area, she was married Oct. 12, 1910, in the Town of Easton to Fred Schmutzler, who died in 1946. Survivors are a son, Elmer Schmutzler, Town of Hewitt; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Lindquist, Chicago; a step son, Elmer Digman, Town of Hewitt; a sister, Mrs. Edward Keays, 821 Park Ave.; a brother, Otto Kluender, Town of Hewitt; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
