Found what I believe to be an ancestor's marriage in the Marathon County Register of Deeds--not the pre-1907 marriage database. If a marriage is listed in the Register of Deeds, does a certificate exist? If so, could it possibly have the names of the brides' parents? (It's an 1856 marriage--I know sometimes the older records have less information.) Thanks for any help. Nancy
