The Marathon County birth listing said Henry C. Hackbarth born 6 Oct 1878. So... it appears the Jr. on the 1910 Census may have been an error. Laura
Maybe not an error, maybe more missing names. The only way to know for sure is to find birth/baptismal/marriage documents. They will list all the given names that a child was given. In most of my cases from that era, four names were common. At times, the first two or three given names end up being family names for generations, male and female. Usually, as a child grew they eliminated names that they did not like so that's where the problems begin. An example is my father, birth name and baptismal name Otto Harry Oscar Heinrich. On his official school, marriage and death records, Harry Otto. Other problems are the German to English name transfers, Karl to Carl, Heinrich to Henry, Reinhold to Raymond to mention a few. So.... in your case it could be Heinrich August Hermann or a combination of the three names if he is listed as a junior. Keep all options open.... stay open minded!
