Kuehl, 88, Wausau, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. +++++ Source Wausau Daily Herald Feb 14, 2005 Kenneth H. Kuehl Kenneth H. Kuehl, 88, of Wausau died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Schofield, the son of the late Herman and Amanda (Smith) Kuehl. Ken was a graduate of Wausau High School in 1936. He played varsity basketball, baseball and football. Ken also coached basketball and baseball after graduation. Ken married Helen King on Aug. 31, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wausau. He worked at Marathon Paper, later American Can and Weyerhaeuser in Rothschild from 1937 until retirement in 1981. Ken enjoyed sports, fishing and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Helen Kuehl, of Wausau; a daughter, Mary Pregont of Wausau; three sons, Kenneth Kuehl of Boca Raton, Fla., Alan (Kathy) Kuehl of Oregon, Wis., and Richard (Kathleen) Kuehl of Eden Prairie, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wausau. The Rev. Nancy Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.
