Thanks to all who responded to my query about Cemeteries. When we arrive in the Colby area, we will have a good idea of where to go to find the Brotherton grave sites. I have found a land record for purchase of land in Marathon co in 1881 by Miner Brotherton. If I am reading it correctly the 80 acres was near cty. N and Rosendale Ave. I have the full description if anyone could help off list. It is the only record we have that he was ever in WI. He was father of Richard W. Brotherton, and a lumberman per the 1860 census. Has anyone any knowledge of where the Brothertons lived? Thanks again for all the help! Kathy Parkinson
